Accessing Digital Text with the Victor Reader Stream

The availability of digital text has dramatically improved access to educational materials for students who are blind and visually impaired. This workshop will address what digital text is, where it can be found and how it can be accessed with the Victor Reader Stream. At the conclusion of the workshop participants should be able to identify the benefits of both the Victor Reader Stream and digital text for students who are blind and visually impaired in educational settings.

Accessibility with MS Word 2007 Webinar - Part 1

This training will teach participants how to get a word count, readability, and use the auto correct features of MS Word to support student writing. They will also learn about a new add on feature that allows MS Word to talk and highlight the spoken word.

All workshops are offered to all populations including teachers, special educators, para-educators, administrators, parents, caregivers and service providers.

 

AT @ A Glance At Your School

This is a “playground” to explore AT devices, low tech tools, and software. This is a hands-on opportunity to “try before you buy”. Learn how to use the principals of Universal Design to ensure equal access to the curriculum for ALL of your students. The tools are portable and can be setup in a teacher’s lounge, at a meeting, or anywhere to meet your needs.
